LORELAI KUECKER of PIGS IN A BLANKET QUILTING

Lorelai started her first quilt project at 11 years of age when her grandmother found some strips already cut out by her great-grandmother. Lorelai and her grandmother sewed those strips together as a Christmas present for her father. Not long after that, a friend encouraged her to make a Quilt of Valor for her mother and then taught Loellai how to stipple on her longarm. Larelai was hooked! She jumped into learning, first from Missouri Star tutorials, and then taking formal classes at quilt shops and shows. It wasn’t long before she was making her own patterns and finding creative ways to quilt making purses and up-cycled clothing. Now 15, Lorelai is working on becoming an instructor and pattern designer. She continues to make projects for national quilt show competitions and hopes to have a fashion show at one of them soon. In conjunction with the Quilted Cow Branson, Lorelai helps inspire youth interested in quilting by contributing to the private Facebook group called Wicked Cool Quilter Kids. She also runs her own quilting and longarm business called “Pigs in a Blanket Quilting.”
