Kathy Menzie - Trunk Show and Workshop

We are pleased to have Kathy Menzie, an award-winning landscape quilter and fabric artist, give a trunk show in November. She loves experimenting with fabric and thread! The trunk show, “Landscaping with Fabric, Not Dirt,” consists of 40-50 landscape quilts she has made. Many of the quilts are from photos of places she’s traveled in Kansas. Some are from travels to other countries. Kathy will describe her process from inspiration to design to the actual stitching of a landscape quilt. Some quilts involve special techniques or equipment, and she will explain each of these and how they are incorporated into a project. Her work usually includes a signature tiny red cardinal.
